Gordon Cassidy aged 64 Finance Director Prior to his appointment as Finance Director in February 2008, Mr. Cassidy was Group Financial Controller for UraMin Inc. when it was sold to Areva, the French Government owned nuclear company, for US$ 2.5 billion. Mr Cassidy previously spent 20 years in East and Central Africa, working initially in Central Government before moving into the Manufacturing Industry. Mr Cassidy transferred back to the United Kingdom in 1987, assuming the role of UK Finance Director with Crown Cork and Seal Co. Inc, the leading metal packaging manufacturer. Immediately prior to moving back to Africa in 2007, Mr Cassidy was Finance Director at a private hospital operated by BMI, the UK’s leading provider of acute care private medical facilities.
John P. Lynch aged 49 Non-Executive Director Mr. Lynch is an experienced businessman with extensive expertise in corporate management and administration as well as experience in corporate governance. He has been a director of both private and publicly traded organizations, and has worked with several public companies in the resource sector in recent years. Currently president of Universal Packaging Systems Inc., a private company in Toronto, he is a former defensive back with the Canadian Football League’s Ottawa Rough Riders.
Paul Loudon aged 48 Non-executive Chairman Mr. Loudon has more than 20 years' experience in stock-broking, corporate finance and the management of junior mining and exploration companies. He has been President of Battlefields Minerals Corporation of Toronto and Non-executive Chairman of BDI Mining Corp. He has also been Head of Equities at Loeb Aron & Company Ltd, a London-based corporate finance house specialising in the mining sector, where he was responsible for raising considerable sums of equity capital for resource companies listed in the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. Mr. Loudon is currently Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DiamondCorp Plc, an AIM listed emerging diamond producer with operations in South Africa and Botswana.
